Behind the camera

Hi, I’m Laurence.

I’ve been filming since 2013, when I started freelancing during my BFA in Digital Media Art at San José State. Since then I’ve edited tech shows at TWiT.tv and built a video team at Pentester Academy.

These days I film weddings, brand stories and music videos across the Bay Area. My style is calm and planned: good light, clean sound and no fuss, so the people on camera can just be themselves.

Work with me

One crew, from first call to final cut.

Plan

We talk through the story, the audience and where the film will live. You get a shot list and schedule before shoot day.

Shoot

Panasonic Lumix S1H and S5IIX cameras, with lighting and sound to match. A small footprint on set, so people relax and the footage looks natural.

Edit

I edit, color grade and mix the sound myself, refine the cut with your feedback, and export it for every platform.

Working with Laurence and his team was easy! They did a great job with our final wedding video.
